Private Residence
Powhatan County, Virginia

The residence is positioned on a ridge looking east over the James River. The design draws strong precedent from the architecture of the Tidewater region of Virginia in the late 1700’s and early 1800’s. The program elements are anchored into the hill to enhance the formal car court and entry to the west and to promote a more casual flow of space and primary living areas overlooking the river.
